Amazon  must be pretty happy after tonight’s prime time Emmy Awards, where its shows “Fleabag” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” dominated the comedy categories.

“Fleabag” (which originally aired on the BBC but was co-produced and streamed internationally by Amazon) did particularly well, winning the big award for Comedy Series, as well as additional awards for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series (Phoebe Waller-Bridge, pictured above), Writing for a Comedy Series (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) and Directing for a Comedy Series (Harry Bradbeer).

Meanwhile, last year’s Comedy Series winner “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” won this year’s awards for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Alex Borstein) and Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Tony Shaloub).

Netflix didn’t go home empty-handed, either. “Ozark” won for Directing for a Drama Series (Jason Bateman) and Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Julia Garner), while Jharrel Jerome was named the best Lead Actor in a Limited Series for his performance in “When They See Us.” And “Bandersnatch,” the interactive episode of “Black Mirror,” won for Television Movie.

This was also a big night for HBO, which retook the lead in Emmy nominations (from Netflix), setting a new record for the most nominations in the process. And it went into the evening having already won 25 Creative Arts Emmy Awards (those are the technical awards that don’t get included in the big ceremonies), compared to Netflix’s 23.

That included taking the best Drama Series award for “Game of Thrones” (yes, that’s for the show’s controversial final season), which also won Peter Dinklage his fourth Emmy for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. “Chernobyl,” meanwhile, won three awards, including Limited Series.

And for fans of HBO’s  “Succession” (a.k.a. most of my Twitter feed), I’ll note that series creator Jesse Armstrong won the drama writing award for the season-one finale.

B2B social management platform Oktopost raises $20M growth round with Expedition

With the pandemic forcing people online, social media use exploded, for obvious reasons. And with that, the opportunity to reach audiences and push messaging. More brand-oriented platforms such as Sprinkler, Sprout Social, and Hootsuite have obviously risen in use, but so did traffic to Oktopost, a much more B2B-oriented proposition. Founded in 2013, Oktopost has only ever registered an $800,000 early stage funding, and has run on revenues and profit ever since. Today that changes with a growth funding round of a $20 million minority investment from London-based growth equity firm Expedition Growth Capital. https://ringsidereport.com/forumz/showthread.php?tid=55828 https://www.getsurlforum.com/showthread.php?tid=3153&__cf_chl_jschl_tk__=pmd_78d3d45a5ed3cccd718332caabcf3bff57861876-1628230259-0-gqNtZGzNAeKjcnBszQlO http://forum.darkchet.com/showthread.php?tid=2153 http://theauctionboard.com/showthread.php?tid=434627 http://wastedwarlocks.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=20781 http...
