Uber CEO calls Massachusetts gig economy ballot measure the ‘right answer’

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi expressed his support Wednesday for a ballot initiative in Massachusetts that would keep gig economy workers classified as independent contractors, fulfilling a promise he made nearly a year ago to push for laws that preserve its business model. “In the state of Massachusetts, we think the right answer is our IC+ model, which is independent contractor with benefits,” Khosrowshahi said during the earnings call with investors. “Our drivers love it. Prop 22 has proven to be incredibly popular with California drivers.” https://forumgpluxuria.com/post444047.html http://www.bookofhook.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=920451 https://realtimecheats.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=84904 http://www.rebels-softair.it/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=64723 http://forums.lonelybitsgames.com/viewtopic.php?t=34641 http://www.dnipro-ukr.com.ua/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=92567 https://www.acdvevents.it/forum/thread-67045.html http://www.welcome2solutions.com/forum/topics.aspx?I...

Oh, Facebook changed its privacy settings again

Ever considerate of its users, Facebook has determined that its privacy settings needed a bit of a shuffle to keep things clear and easy to find. To that end they’ve taken the “privacy settings” settings and scattered them mischievously among the other categories. “We’ve redesigned our entire settings menu on mobile devices from top to bottom to make things easier to find. Instead of having settings spread across nearly 20 different screens, they’re now accessible from a single place,” writes Facebook in a blog post announcing the changes. Oh, sorry — that’s from 2018, when they centralized privacy settings to make them easier to find. This is the one from today about decentralizing them into a bunch of different places. https://www.forumdime.com/Thread-%D0%98%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B0-%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%B5%D1%81%D1%82%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%BE%D0%B2-8-%D1%81%D0%B5%D0%B7%D0%BE%D0%BD-5-%D1%81%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%8F-%D1%81%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B0%D0%BB-%D0%B2-%D1%85%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%BE%D1%88%D0%B5%D0%B...

Indian edtech Unacademy valued at $3.44 billion in $440 million fundraise

Indian online learning platform Unacademy has raised $440 million in a new financing round as investors double down on the South Asian market and elsewhere following a widening series of regulatory crackdowns in China that wiped hundreds of billions of dollars last month. TuSimple’s self-driving truck network takes shape with Ryder partnership

TuSimple, the self-driving truck company that went public earlier this year, has partnered with Ryder as part of its plan to build out a freight network that will support its autonomous trucking operations. Under the deal announced this week, Ryder’s fleet maintenance facilities will act as terminals for TuSimple’s freight network. TuSimple’s so-called AFN, or autonomous freight network, is a collection of shipping routes and terminals designed for autonomous trucking operations that will extend across the United States by 2024. UPS, which took a minority stake in TuSimple before it went public, carrier U.S. Xpress, Penske Truck Leasing and Berkshire Hathaway’s grocery and food service supply chain company McLane Inc. were the inaugural partners in the network. https://saldogratispoker.com/showthread.php?tid=305562 http://www.ttl.co-re.de/forum/showthread.php?pid=129249&tid=54122 http://wastedwarlocks.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=67236 http://theauctionboard.com/showthread.ph...
